“Jean vanier, the Sacrament of Tenderness”
at the National Assembly!
On Tuesday April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day, Le Projet Imagine was invited to present its latest film, “Jean Vanier, the Sacrament of Tenderness” at the National Assembly.
Organized by National Assembly Members Béatrice Descamps and Anissa Khedher, Presidents of the study group Handicap Inclusion which includes several dozen National Assembly deputies, and placed under the patronage of Mr. Richard Ferrand , President of the National Assembly, the purpose of the screening was to raise awareness among deputies on the delicate subject of mental handicap.
« On this International Autism Day, it was important and moving to see this documentary, a living testimony that proves that empathy, humanity and mutual benevolence should be the foundation of human relations between all people. and particularly in the understanding and inclusion of disability. »

Many MPs had made the trip, such as Agnès Thill and Carole Bureau-Bonnard, representing the Oise, or Pierre Vatin, representing the 5th district of the Oise – where Jean Vanier was from!
The world of politics and NGOs was well represented, with the notable presence of Céline Poulet, Secretary General of the Interministerial Committee on Disability (CIH), Luc Gateau, President of the Unapei.
