9 and 10 April: Abbaye aux Dames in Caen
Paris, March 23, 2026
Young people will also take centre stage at the upcoming Normandy World Forum for Peace, with an opening plenary session on Thursday 9 April, from 10am to 12pm, focusing on the theme: Can young people still change the world?
The Scientific and Strategic Committee – Bertrand Badie, Nicole Gnesotto, Frédérique Bedos and François-Xavier Priollaud – has invited a panel of committed young people from countries at the forefront of current crises – Sudan, Palestine, Colombia, Haiti and Madagascar – to explore with them the role of younger generations in building global peace.
On Friday 10th, we will be discussing international law – which has been seriously undermined in recent times – in a plenary session, attended notably by the former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dominique de Villepin: https://www.normandiepourlapaix.fr/des-espoirs-de-paix/comment-sauver-le-droit-international
A free event, open to all, not to be missed if you wish to better understand the world in which we live and play a part in improving it.
