In France, the average salary inequality between men and women is still 27%. Why do we observe this kind of inequality? What is it based on? How can we explain definite changes in our mentalities, that are nevertheless too slow? Is this a war of the sexes, or a struggle for status in the corporate hallways?
The journalist Frédérique Bedos leads the investigation and questions five experts in different areas. These cross-referenced views open the doors of a striking reality thanks both to analyses and lived experiences.
Far from adopting an ideological approach, this film initiates an examination of the position of women in a world built by men, and lifts the veil on the impact of the inequality between men and women on economic and social equilibrium.

WOMEN AND MEN shows the evolution of our societies on a fundamental issue, namely equality between women and men. It addresses the topic from an historical, economic and cultural standpoint, giving the floor to international contributors who specialize in these issues.
Eschewing clichés, this film enables viewers to become aware of the fact that in order to tackle the challenges of our time, equality for all is the pathway to progress.
