‘The Imagine Project’ turned 16 on 6 March…

Paris, March 23, 2026

It was indeed on 6 March 2010 that Frédérique Bedos officially launched our NGO…
While current events weigh heavily on our hearts, we hold fast to our hope and reaffirm it… To mark the occasion, we have chosen to share with you the wonderful gift MC Solaar gave us for the NGO’s 15th anniversary: a previously unreleased track entitled “Joséphine Baker”, composed especially for our big  HOPE POWER evening!
This tribute is a superb nod to the life of Frédérique Bedos and her adoptive family. For whilst everyone knows the accomplished artist – singer, dancer, actress, revue leader – and the committed citizen (a Resistance medal recipient and civil rights activist in the USA), fewer of us are aware that she adopted 12 children, of all backgrounds and religions. In the name of her ideal of universal brotherhood, she chose to call this extraordinary family her ‘rainbow tribe’: find out more.

So, the fact that MC Solaar composed and performed this song to mark the 15th anniversary of the Imagine Project, at the Folies Bergère no less – where Joséphine Baker was the muse – is quite simply MAGICAL!
