Frédérique Bedos, winner of the Who's Who Women of Excellence Awards in the “La Battante” category

Paris, February 24, 2026

Alongside the winners in the “Inspiring Leaders” category, Olivia AMOZIG-BELLOT ((La Poste Group) and  Sabrina Herlory Rouget (Aroma-Zone), and the “Visionary Entrepreneurs” category, Clara Gaymard (RAISE) and  Eléonore Crespo (Pigment), “Exceptional Artists or Creatives,” Aurélie Dupont (Opera National de Paris) and Alexia Laroche-Joubert (Banijay Entertainment), “Scientists or Experts,” Audrey Duval, MD (Sanofi) and Carole Mathelin (ICANS / National Academy of Surgery), “Power and Influence”:Estelle Brachlianoff (Veolia) and Aurélie JEAN, Ph.D. (Infra)… Frédérique Bedos was awarded the “Battante” trophy alongside her partner, the renowned reporter  Maryse Burgot.

What a joy for our team that the founder of our NGO has received such recognition!

She made a point of praising the work of Maryse Burgot, whom she has admired for years: “When you go to the most difficult places, from the Philippines to Kosovo, Syria or Ukraine… your first instinct is to toughen up. Maryse, on the contrary, has managed to keep her deep humanity intact in order to produce stories that touch us and that we remember. For me, it is this kind of reporting that gives journalism its nobility…

Frédérique also took this opportunity to remind the guests present that, while we have had the joy of celebrating our 15th anniversary, the non-profit sector is experiencing great difficulties, both in France and internationally since COVID but even more so in the current geopolitical context. She made a passionate appeal for vigilance because, if this sector were to collapse, we would all pay the price… An huge price! In addition to the safety net non profit organizations weave around the most vulnerable, they also provide a tremendous source of employment and, through its ability to mobilize millions of citizens every day, it keeps social health alive.

Finally, because these were the Excellence Awards, Frédérique concluded her remarks by emphasizing the importance of putting this quality at the service of an ambitious humanistic vision, while raising ever deeper awareness of how fragile we are as human beings. Determination and humility, she believes, are the two poles that chart a path of humanity.

Not easy in a world that increasingly promotes performance and competitiveness! Yes, and that is why it is so beautiful…

Huge congratulations to all the winners!
