Event – 11 June 2026, Paris

Paris, June 03, 2026

In times like these, taking a step back from current events with experts, researchers or those working on the ground is not just a necessity, but rather a matter of mental wellbeing. Indeed, this rapidly changing world needs a broader perspective. That is why Le 106, a cross-party collective of creatives, researchers, entrepreneurs, and practitioners from the field and the public sector, aims to bring together different narratives in order to “reinvent public action and build society from the ground up, based on local communities, living things and human connections”.

True to its motto, “Let’s weave the world of tomorrow…”, the 106 is organising a three-day conference, with 11 June open to the general public, to explore the world to come. With a simple aim – to bring together researchers and civil society actors to analyse this turning point in history – they will address six key themes: our relationship with living things, the model of society, knowledge and intelligence, the body and territories, the economy beyond growth, and anthropological change. A wonderful multidisciplinary buzz in store!

This wonderful day will conclude with speeches by the founding president of our NGO, Frédérique Bedos, the publicist Nicolas Bordas, and Philippe Rio, mayor of Grigny (91), who was named ‘best mayor in the world’ by the City Mayors Foundation for his work to combat poverty, on the following theme: ‘Let’s invent positive Overton windows’. A conclusion that promises to be philosophical and hints at more to come…
